The training venues will be set up to allow 6 SL lanes across each area.  This equates to a total of 3 GS lanes total for each area.  Mirroring of courses is enforced at all times. Speed training will NOT be available during the early season training time frame.

SL Training*:

  • Available on Fall Line, Boo-Boo/Conway’s, Main Arena and other locations when available.
  • *Until we have a second trail available, we will only be able to accommodate SL lanes during early season training.

GS Training:

  • Available on the Alley, Boo-Boo/Conway’s, Main Arena and other locations when expanded terrain is available.
  • GS Lanes are a combination of 2 SL Lanes.

Training Sessions/Lift Times: 

  • First Chair:
    • Chair 6: 7:30 am (8-minute lap)
    • T-Bar: 7:45 am (4-minute lap)
  • Golden Peak (Chair 6):
    • Session 1: 7:30 – 10:00 am (SSCV Training)
    • Session 2: 10:00 am – 12:30 pm
    • Session 3: 12:30 –  3:00 pm
  • The Expansion (T-Bar) *U12 and Older Only*:
    • Session 1: 7:30 – 10:00 am (SSCV Training)
    • Session 2: 10:00 am – 12:30 pm
    • Session 3: 12:30 – 3:00 pm
  • Last Chair:
    • Chair 6: 3:00 pm
    • T-Bar: 3:00 pm

Coaches may load 10 minutes prior to the training session on Chair 6 to be prepared to set. Athletes can only load at the start of their training session. Teams MUST pull or set at the appropriate time (start or end of session).

Egress off the Expansion may be downloading on Chair 6, until Conway’s to Main Arena is open.

Shared Lanes:

Teams that purchase training space own the lane outright. If a small team or individual athletes want to train, they must consult with the team that owns the lane. Sharing of lanes is at the sole discretion of the owning team and NOT SSCV. If two teams agree to work together, the team that owns the lane must list the additional athletes and staff on their roster and assume responsibility for said participants under their certificate of insurance.

Tickets: 

  • Tickets: $52/day as well as an Early Season Pass option for teams that are here for a week or longer; please contact Chief Operating Officer Bryan Rooney for more information on the season pass option.
  • Coaches Tickets: Once a minimum of 10 tickets per team are purchased, coaches tickets are comped. 
  • Top 30 WCSL: If a national team has an athlete ranked within the Top 30 on any current World Cup Start List, and said athlete is attending/training in the specified training session, all tickets for that team are comped. Must submit a daily roster of athletes.

***GUEST TEAMS/ATHLETES: Please note that NO Gold Passes, Epic Passes, All-Star Passes, etc., are valid during Early Season Training.***

Teams are allowed to submit reservations at their earliest convenience. Once your reservation has been submitted, a detailed report will be sent stating your lane and cost breakdown. To hold your reservation, a 50% non-refundable deposit must be made at time of reservation. The remaining 50% to confirm your reservation, will be due on or around September 1, 2023. Refunds will only be granted if SSCV cannot deliver on your training reservation (for example, a lack of snow, lift malfunctions, etc.).

Daily Logistics:

  • Mandatory nightly virtual Team Captain meetings will be held at 4:00 pm, or earlier, to discuss training, safety, tickets, team rosters and liability waivers. A no show will result in loss of training space, with no refund.
    • All team captains MUST submit a team roster by October 1, 2023, so SSCV can check waivers and receive tickets prior to your team’s arrival.

Safety:

  • Piste/Lane Chiefs are in charge of the hill. They are there to make sure the training environment is controlled and  teams are setting in their appropriate lane as well as supervision of session transitions at the appropriate time.
  • Team Captains are responsible for ensuring a safe and productive training environment on the hill for ALL teams. SAFETY FIRST!
  • “Start Stop” must be placed on ALL COURSES when slipping is to take place, when an athlete has fallen or ski patrol is on scene for an injured athlete.
  • Radios are placed throughout the venue if a need arises to contact ski patrol.
Waivers and Certificate of Insurance:

  • All coaches, athletes and technicians/physios must have waivers signed and filed with SSCV Club Manager to receive a lift ticket:
