PROGRAMS
SSCV offers full-time and part-time programs in Alpine, Freeski, Mogul, Nordic and Snowboard along with part-time programs in Cycling. Additional programs include Future Stars, Human Performance and Early Season Training.
CLUBHOUSE
Ski & Snowboard Club Vail is proud to have a slopeside clubhouse at Golden Peak, offering space for athletes to warm up and easily access the hill. The facility includes the Steadman Philippon Athlete Performance Center, a state-of-the-art tune shop, a gym and office and conference space.
GOLDEN PEAK
Vail Mountain’s Golden Peak is the primary training venue for Ski & Snowboard Club Vail’s programs. Thanks to the generosity and support of Vail Resorts, SSCV is able to operate on the best training venues in the world, including Alpine courses, a mogul field, a halfpipe and park features.
The area was expanded in 2019, providing approximately 30 acres of additional Alpine trails, a brand-new surface lift and improved snowmaking infrastructure. With these enhancements, there is now more than 1,700 vertical feet of total racing terrain, enough to accommodate full-length speed courses and  as many as 18 slalom lanes or nine GS lanes per training session. The new Golden Peak T Bar features a four-minute turnaround, which optimizes training sessions and increases productivity. The expanded terrain alone can host slalom racing and training with up to 60 gates per course.
The world-class mogul venue features 230 meters of bumps with pitches ranging from 25.6 to 31 degrees. It is the steepest in all of the Rockies, and is truly spectacular. With easy access from the SSCV Clubhouse and rapid turnaround time between runs via Chair 6, training time on the hill has been maximized.
