Clubhouse Information

The SSCV Clubhouse, located at the base of Golden Peak, serves as the primary meeting and operations hub for many programs throughout the winter season. Athletes use the clubhouse for daily check-in, team meetings, gear preparation, and post-training wrap-ups. The facility also provides indoor space during training days, as well as access to equipment storage and technical services for select programs. Clubhouse access and usage vary by team and will be communicated by coaches. Athletes are expected to arrive prepared, follow program guidelines, and help maintain a clean and organized space.

Parent-Athlete Handbook

The Parent & Athlete Handbook is your primary resource for understanding expectations, policies, and day-to-day operations at Ski & Snowboard Club Vail. It provides important information to help families navigate the season and ensure a positive, safe, and successful experience for all athletes.

The handbook includes details on program structure, communication guidelines, athlete expectations, travel policies, volunteer requirements, SafeSport standards, and club procedures. We strongly encourage all families to review the handbook prior to the start of the season and reference it throughout the year.

Staying familiar with these guidelines helps create a consistent and supportive environment for athletes, coaches, and families across all programs.

Ski and Snowboard Club Vail Liability Release

All athletes and participants are required to complete the Ski & Snowboard Club Vail Liability Release prior to participation in any training, event, or program. This form acknowledges the inherent risks associated with skiing, snowboarding, and related activities, and confirms your understanding and acceptance of those risks.

The Liability Release must be completed annually through your CampMinder account and applies to all on-snow and off-snow activities associated with Ski & Snowboard Club Vail. Athletes will not be permitted to participate until this form is completed and on file.

We encourage families to review the document carefully and reach out with any questions prior to submission.

Volunteer Requirements

SSCV relies heavily upon the generosity of hundreds of volunteers who give thousands of hours to help with competitions, fundraising and various Club tasks and events. All families are responsible for completing a certain number of volunteer points. Volunteer points are earned by completing volunteer jobs, and these jobs are assigned a specific number of points based upon difficulty and time needed for completion. SSCV requires each family to complete a predetermined amount of volunteering based upon the programs in which they are involved. The number of points required per family is based upon the athlete’s program (and in the case of multiple athletes, it will be the program in which the most time-committed athlete participates). There are numerous opportunities, both on and off the snow, throughout the year from May 1, 2026 – April 30, 2027.

Failure to meet your obligation could result in an evaluation of your family’s fit with the program and SSCV culture of volunteerism.

Volunteer Requirements by Program

Volunteerism is a core part of the Ski & Snowboard Club Vail community and plays a critical role in supporting competitions, events, and daily operations. Volunteer requirements vary by program and are based on the level of athlete participation.

Each family is assigned a specific number of volunteer hours (or points) based on their athlete’s program. For families with multiple athletes, the requirement will be based on the program with the highest commitment level.

Volunteer opportunities are available throughout the year and may include on-snow event support, race operations, fundraising events, and off-snow club activities. All volunteer hours are tracked through your MySSCV account, where families can view requirements, sign up for opportunities, and monitor their progress.

We encourage families to plan ahead and complete their volunteer commitment early in the season. Meeting volunteer requirements is essential to maintaining the quality and affordability of SSCV programs.

Volunteer Waiver

All volunteers are required to complete the SSCV Volunteer Waiver prior to participating in any club-supported activity. This form acknowledges the responsibilities associated with volunteering and the inherent risks involved in on-snow and off-snow activities.

The waiver must be completed annually through your CampMinder account and is required before signing up for or participating in volunteer opportunities with Ski & Snowboard Club Vail.

Volunteers play a critical role in supporting events, competitions, and daily operations, and completing this waiver ensures a safe and organized environment for all participants. Please review the document carefully and reach out with any questions prior to submission.

Scholarship Resources

SSCV is committed to making programs accessible for all families through a range of scholarship and financial aid resources. These resources are designed to support athletes by helping offset the cost of participation and ensuring that financial considerations do not limit opportunity.

Families can access information on the scholarship application process, eligibility guidelines, required documentation, and key deadlines through their CampMinder account and the Clarity application platform. Additional resources may include guidance on completing applications, understanding financial aid decisions, and planning for program-related expenses.

We encourage all families to explore available resources and apply if cost is a consideration. Scholarship awards are based on demonstrated need and may cover up to 100% of program fees. For questions or support throughout the process, please contact the SSCV team—we’re here to help guide you.

Scholarship Resources

Scholarship Application

All scholarship requests must be submitted online to Clarity, an organization independent of Ski & Snowboard Club Vail. The application should take 30 minutes or less.

For the comprehensive scholarship, based on the information you provide, Clarity calculates an estimated amount that your family can contribute toward program fees at SSCV. We will use this information to help determine awards for our athletes.

We will not consider your scholarship application until the most recent preceding year tax returns have been filed. Therefore, please plan accordingly with your tax preparation. Note that the fall deadline is in advance of the IRS extension filing deadline.

The deadline to apply for scholarships is Round 1: May 15, 2026 or Round 2: October 1, 2026. Funding priority will go to round 1, therefore we encourage all applicants to apply at that time. If we exhaust available funds, round 2 funding may not be available.

Please make note that fall scholarship applicants will be required to make payments on their account towards program fees prior to notification about scholarship awards.

Parents Financial Statement

The Parent Financial Statement (PFS) is a required component of the scholarship and financial aid application process. It provides a comprehensive overview of your family’s financial situation and helps ensure that aid is distributed fairly and based on demonstrated need.

The PFS is completed through the Clarity application platform and includes information such as household income, assets, expenses, and family size. This information is used by Ski & Snowboard Club Vail to evaluate financial need and determine scholarship eligibility.

Families applying for financial assistance are required to complete the PFS accurately and submit all requested documentation by the specified deadlines. We encourage families to begin this process early to allow time for review and any follow-up requests. For assistance, please contact the SSCV tea
