Snowboard

Post Grad Program

The Snowboard PG Program is designed for post-graduate athletes who are committed to continuing their progression in snowboarding within a structured, performance-driven environment. This program provides the time, coaching, and resources needed to advance beyond high school and pursue higher levels of competition.

Athletes train across freestyle disciplines, including slopestyle elements such as rails, jumps, and park flow, while continuing to refine all-mountain riding skills. Coaching is individualized, focusing on technical development, consistency, style, and competition readiness.

The PG Program supports athletes pursuing regional and national competition pathways while continuing to build a strong foundation for long-term progression in the sport.

Volunteer Requirements

Hours Required: 160

As the oldest nonprofit in the Vail Valley, Ski & Snowboard Club Vail relies on the generosity and commitment of its families and community. Each year, hundreds of volunteers contribute thousands of hours to support competitions, fundraising efforts, and club operations. This involvement is essential to SSCV’s ability to deliver high-quality programming while keeping costs as accessible as possible.

All SSCV families are required to complete a set number of volunteer hours throughout the season. Volunteer opportunities are available year-round and include both on-snow and off-snow roles. The total requirement is based on the athlete’s program.

Volunteer hours are tracked through your MySSCV account, where families can view their balance and sign up for available opportunities.

For questions regarding volunteer requirements or opportunities, please contact the SSCV team.

Please note that failure to meet volunteer requirements may result in a reevaluation of participation within SSCV programs and alignment with the club’s culture of volunteerism.

Facilities + Technical Support

Training takes place on Vail Mountain, utilizing terrain parks and natural features designed for freestyle progression.

Athletes also train at Vail Ski & Snowboard Academy, including access to the tow rope rail garden for high-repetition training. Additional opportunities may include sessions at Woodward Copper, providing access to world-class freestyle facilities.

Strength Training

At the PG level, athletes take a more structured and performance-driven approach to training. Access to SSCV Technical Services ensures equipment is dialed for park and all-mountain performance.

Strength and conditioning are integrated through SSCV’s Human Performance Program, with training focused on strength, power, mobility, and injury prevention. This supports the physical demands of advanced snowboarding and competition.
