Alpine U14 Full-Time Team

The Alpine U14 Full-Time Team is designed for athletes committed to advancing their skills in a competitive and high-performance training environment. This program builds on strong technical fundamentals while increasing training volume, intensity, and focus on race performance.

Athletes train with a structured approach that emphasizes technical precision, tactical awareness, and consistency across all disciplines. At this level, athletes begin to take ownership of their development, gaining a deeper understanding of race preparation, course strategy, and performance execution.

The U14 program plays a critical role in preparing athletes for higher-level competition and progression into FIS and high school-level programs.

Volunteer Requirements
Points Required: 160

SSCV relies heavily upon the generosity of hundreds of volunteers who give thousands of hours to help with competitions, fundraising and various Club tasks and events. Volunteer points are earned by completing volunteer jobs, and these jobs are assigned a specific number of points based upon difficulty and time needed for completion. SSCV requires each family to complete a predetermined amount of volunteering based upon the programs in which they are involved. The number of points required per family is based upon the athlete’s program (and in the case of multiple athletes, it will be the program in which the most time-committed athlete participates).

There are numerous opportunities, both on and off the snow, throughout the year from May 1, 2026 – April 30, 2027. Opportunities will be shared with families via email as they arise.

Failure to meet your obligation could result in an evaluation of your family’s fit with the program and SSCV culture of volunteerism.

Facilities + Technical Support

Training takes place primarily at Golden Peak, providing access to one of the premier alpine training venues in North America.

Athletes benefit from consistent gate training in both slalom and giant slalom, varied terrain for freeskiing, and early-season access supported by advanced snowmaking. The venue allows for high-volume, high-quality training essential for athlete progression at this level.

Strength Training

At the U14 level, equipment preparation and performance become increasingly important. Athletes work more closely with SSCV Technical Services to ensure skis are properly tuned and optimized for both training and competition.

Off-snow training becomes more structured and intentional, with a focus on strength, coordination, mobility, and injury prevention. Athletes may begin participating in more formal strength and conditioning programming to support performance and long-term athletic development.
