Alpine U14-U18 Part-Time Team

The Alpine U14–U18 Part-Time Team is designed for athletes who want to continue developing their alpine skiing skills in a structured and supportive environment while balancing other commitments. This program provides consistent coaching, technical development, and exposure to training environments without the full-time schedule.

Athletes focus on refining technique through a combination of gate training and freeskiing, while continuing to build confidence and consistency across all terrain. The program supports athletes who are passionate about skiing and want to improve, whether their goals include local competition, high school racing, or personal progression

Volunteer Requirements

Hours Required: 160

As the oldest nonprofit in the Vail Valley, Ski & Snowboard Club Vail relies on the generosity and commitment of its families and community. Each year, hundreds of volunteers contribute thousands of hours to support competitions, fundraising efforts, and club operations. This involvement is essential to SSCV’s ability to deliver high-quality programming while keeping costs as accessible as possible.

All SSCV families are required to complete a set number of volunteer hours throughout the season. Volunteer opportunities are available year-round and include both on-snow and off-snow roles. The total requirement is based on your athlete’s program, and for families with multiple athletes, the highest program requirement will apply.

Volunteer hours are tracked through your MySSCV account, where families can view their balance and sign up for available opportunities.

For questions regarding volunteer requirements, point balances, or on-snow opportunities, please contact Land Collioure Le Coq at llecoq@skiclubvail.org. For off-snow and event-related opportunities, please contact Liz Filipowicz at lfilipowicz@skiclubvail.org.

Please note that failure to meet volunteer requirements may result in a reevaluation of your family’s participation in SSCV programs and alignment with the club’s culture of involvement.

Facilities + Technical Support

Training takes place primarily at Golden Peak, providing athletes with access to a world-class alpine training environment.

Athletes benefit from structured gate training sessions, freeskiing opportunities, and terrain that supports skill progression across all levels.

Strength Training

Athletes in the part-time program are introduced to the importance of proper equipment setup and ski maintenance, with access to SSCV Technical Services at Golden Peak for tuning and support.

Off-snow development is incorporated in a general and age-appropriate way, focusing on athletic movement, balance, and coordination. Athletes interested in further development may explore additional strength and conditioning opportunities as they progress.
