SSCV is excited to announce the addition of Vail native Clint Peterson to the SSCV Minturn Tune Shop staff for the 2013-2014 season. “Clint’s background in race service and dedication to competitive athletes are valuable resources for SSCV in the equipment preparation arena,” said Equipment Manager Brian Eggleton. “We are fortunate to be able to bring Clint on board at this point in the season as a member of our already solid equipment service staff,” Eggleton added.
Peterson has more than 20 years of tuning experience, and he fondly remembers watching World Cup service technicians preparing equipment in the basement of the Vail Lodge at the 1989 World Championships. Peterson’s roots in ski racing extend to his family as his father developed the first ski-specific tuning file and high altitude p-tex. Peterson’s experience in Vail includes many years tuning at Buzz’s Boards, and most recently he worked for the U.S. Alpine Ski Team as a service technician and with a number of athletes as a private technician.
