Ski & Snowboard Club Vail (SSCV) hopes to spark a dream in young snowsports and cycling athletes which will provide them with a focus and teach them life lessons throughout their childhood, inspiring character growth and excellence at every turn. When this spark ignites, there is a need to provide youngsters with more time on snow (or on their bike) along with more time developing the physical and mental attributes needed to achieve their dreams. This is where SSCV’s full-time programs along with its three academic partners come in to support your child in an elite SSCV full-time program, both on snow (or bike) and off, alongside a rigorous academic curriculum. The SSCV full-time cycling program begins at age 15.

The full-time admissions process is designed to provide prospective full-time athletes and their families the opportunity to learn about all aspects of being a full-time athlete at SSCV, and for those applying to VSSA , about the academic component of being a full-time athlete. It is also designed to enable SSCV and VSSA to learn more about the applicant as well as their athletic and academic strengths and skills, as applicable. Those full-time applicants interested in attending Vail Mountain School (VMS) should contact the VMS Admissions Director directly for admissions details and deadlines.
For applicants interested in becoming part of the cooperative arrangement between SSCV and Red Sandstone Elementary School (RSES) see admission process details below.
- Admissions to SSCV and VSSA are accepted on a rolling basis (starting November 1) and there is a high demand. Spots may fill up quickly, so we encourage you to complete the admissions process as soon as possible.
Admissions applications are accepted from November through March 31 on a rolling admissions basis. SSCV and VSSA will review applications on a rolling basis to determine if they will accept, deny, defer or waitlist a candidate. If spots remain available after March 31, SSCV and VSSA will continue to review applications through April 30 on a rolling basis and thereafter on a case-by-case basis.
The above timing also holds true for those athletes interested in applying to the SSCV/RSES Cooperative Program as SSCV athletic programs may fill and RSES grades may fill.
Please contact SSCV Director of Advancement Sharon Schmidt at 970-790-5161 or email@example.com for more information about the admission application process for SSCV and VSSA and the related application as well as more information on the RSES/SSCV Cooperative Arrangement admissions process
