The 2012-2013 winter season has already started for some and is beginning to start for others. As the club gets busier, we ask that you pay special attention to our guidelines for pick up and drop off. As many of you know, we have a small space to work with when you are dropping off and picking up your athletes. To ensure a smooth drop off and pick up process, we ask that you adhere to the following guidelines, as printed in the 2012-2013 Parent/Athlete Handbook.

AT THE CLUBHOUSE

The only drop-off and pick-up area for athletes is through the club parking lot, not the Town of Vail Bus Stop or Vail Valley Drive. Please note that traffic flows from west to east, that there are three“lanes” of traffic and that the speed limit on campus is five miles per hour. When entering the club grounds drive up to the furthest traffic cone or next car in line. Drivers should drop off athletes at this point. Cars should also never park in the diagonal spots that are marked. Drop-off will go smoothly if all drivers stay in their cars with the vehicle running. (Those who wish to park are asked to drop off your athlete and their equipment, exit the drop off area and park in designated spaces in a Town of Vail or Vail Resorts parking lot.) Drivers are asked not to use cellular phones during carpool because it distracts them from their responsibility. Parking along the roadway or along the sidewalk anywhere on Vail Valley Drive is not allowed and will result in being ticketed. Your cooperation with these drop off procedures allows us to be good citizens with our Vail Valley Drive neighbors as well as providing a smooth transition for all SSCV athlete to the training environment.
