AVON, Colo. –  Ski & Snowboard Club Vail’s Youth Ski League put on quite the show at the Youth Ski League Kombi event that took place at Beaver Creek this weekend. Faced with anything from giant slalom to slalom to terrain, Sunday’s participants had to be adaptable and well-rounded as they made their way down the two different course sets. For YSL skiers between the ages of 6 and 15, it was the perfect opportunity to showcase some of the skills they have been working on over the course of the season.

On the men’s side, Ski & Snowboard Club Vail scored a total of 10 podium finishes in the various age divisions between races 1 and 2. In the youngest age class, SSCV swept the podium in both races with standouts Tyler Dolsen, Brooks Robinson, and Carter Ladd maintaining their consistency throughout the day. Not to be outdone, SSCV women also grabbed 10 podium spots between races 1 and 2, with 6 of them being first place finishes.

Ski & Snowboard Club Vail’s Youth Ski League Head Coach Anje Worrell, is excited by the performance of the program’s young athletes and optimistic about their future success, “We’re constantly improving and going faster. I’m so grateful that we have a great group of coaches that are working with these kids. They really care and they want to see them improve.”

SSCV Youth Alpine Director, Alissa Consenstein, also had a message for all those that made the event possible, “We would like to thank all the volunteers who came and helped us out today, and we’d also like to thank Beaver Creek and its race crew for creating a great venue for these young athletes.”
