Vail Valley Composite Team does it again with another third place finish. This past weekend the Vail Valley Composite Team headed to Granby to compete in the Snow Mountain Ranch Stampede. This team has been riding exceptionally well the past few weeks against teams 4 to 5 times their size. The Composite team is composed of students from multiple different High Schools in Eagle County.
John Bailey was 15th, Clayton Davis was 16th, Brinton Barry was 21st, and Caleb Krueger was 29th in the boys varsity category. Hannah Hardenbergh was 6th in the girls varsity category.
Parker Mcdonald placed 9th and Noah Beairsto placed 13th in the boys Junior Varsity category. Clare Baker placed 5th in the girls junior varsity category.
Logan Martin finished 17th in the boys sophomore category. Heidi Livran finished 3rd, and Rita Gutierrez finished 8th in the girls sophomore category.
Luke Vickerman finished 7th, and Colbey Derwin finished 13th in the boys freshman category.
This newly formed team remains consistent in their second race of the season. Quintin Cook rode well this week with another 1st place finish for the boys freshman category. Ian Boucher also boosted the overall team score with a nice 4th place finish in the boys junior varsity category. The team’s next race will be in Elbert on October 7th.
