This past Sunday, January 31, Ski & Snowboard Club Vail hosted a Steadman Clinic Vail Cup Giant Slalom and Moguls competition for athletes birth year 2000 and younger.

The Ski & Snowboard Club Vail (SSCV) Nordic Program is off to a great start with multiple podiums at its first Junior National Qualifier in Crested Butte, a National Champion, personal bests and first time experiences for junior athletes at US Cross Country Championships, a successful High School Race at Maloit Park and two well attended Vail Summit Orthopaedics Nordic Town Races for community members of all ages.
On Sunday Golden Peak’s park played host to a United States of America Snowboard and Freeski Association Rocky Mountain Series skier slopestyle competition. Ski & Snowboard Club Vail freeski athletes had their chance to compete on home turf at Sunday’s competition.
On Saturday, January 16, Ski & Snowboard Club Vail hosted a Nordic High School Qualifier at Maloit Park in Minturn. Despite frigid temperatures, over two hundred athletes from nearby high schools participated in the event, which featured a five kilometer classic race course for high school athletes.
