The Ski & Snowboard Club Vail (SSCV) Nordic Program is off to a great start with multiple podiums at its first Junior National Qualifier in Crested Butte, a National Champion, personal bests and first time experiences for junior athletes at US Cross Country Championships, a successful High School Race at Maloit Park and two well attended Vail Summit Orthopaedics Nordic Town Races for community members of all ages.

On Sunday Golden Peak’s park played host to a United States of America Snowboard and Freeski Association Rocky Mountain Series skier slopestyle competition. Ski & Snowboard Club Vail freeski athletes had their chance to compete on home turf at Sunday’s competition.

Getting Started and Olympic Dreams When asked, I always recommend that parents enroll their children in Ski & Snowboard Club Vail’s (SSCV) season long Future Stars weekend program at the youngest possible age of six (assuming they can get on and off the lift by themselves and ski or ride Golden Peak).
