Most recently the Chief Operating Officer of the Front Range Ski Club at Echo Mt., Brandon was the Head Coach of BC Alpine from 2010 to earlier this year. Prior to that he was the Head Coach of the Green Mt. Valley School for 5 years and a coach for the University of New Mexico from 2003 to 2005.

Working together with the team of Program Directors including Karen Ghent – Alpine, Ben Boyd – Snowboard, John Dowling – Freestyle, Elana Chase – Freeskiing and Dan Weiland – Nordic and over 100 coaches, Brandon will guide SSCV’s athletic programs.

He joins General Manager Mike Trueblood, a former Comcast executive and University of Colorado ski racing All-American and 12th year Executive Director Aldo Radamus as a member of the SSCV Leadership Team.

Said Radamus: “Brandon brings a great track record of athletic excellence, a history of innovation, tremendous knowledge and varied experiences to Ski & Snowboard Club Vail and our 5 snow sports programs. The explosive growth at SSCV resulting from the introduction of Vail Ski & Snowboard Academy; the first public snow sports academy in the United States, together with Vail’s world class November training venue and other facilities initiatives has created an opportunity to further enhance the support provided to our athletes with the addition of exceptional people like Brandon.”

Adds Dyksterhouse: “I’ve been very fortunate to have worked for and been mentored by some of the greats in ski racing; Dave Gavett at GMVS, Chip Lacasse at UVM, George Brooks at UNM and Bruce Goldsmid at BC Alpine. Nora Pykkonen at FRSC broadened my education in many new areas. These great experiences have afforded me the opportunity to work for one of the leading snow sports organizations in the world. I look forward to contributing to an already incredible staff and building on the momentum created in Vail by Aldo over the last decade.”
