Golden Peak Access Policy
The Golden Peak Competition Center is only accessible to SSCV administration, coaches, athletes, volunteers and qualified Vail Resorts employees. These parameters are consistent with policies set forth by our partner, Vail Resorts, and are critical to maintaining a safe training and racing environment. The venue is defined as anything within the B-Net and/or crowd-control fence; this includes the finish arena and start area.
These policies are strictly enforced and are established to ensure the safety of our athletes, staff and visitors. At SSCV, we welcome those who want to be involved on the hill. However, the proper protocol must be followed, and approval must be obtained in advance from SSCV administration and head coaches.
The below expectations are established to manage the risks associated with the venue, and all approved individual parties must adhere to the policy while accessing the Golden Peak Competition Center.
- Individual parties must complete and submit waivers to SSCV member services.
- All volunteers who are in the arena must be actively assisting with course setting, shooting video, slipping courses, tearing down or helping with SSCV sanctioned events.
- Volunteers must be ushered throughout the venue at all times by an SSCV employee.
There is no uphill access on the venue during mountain operational hours. Questions regarding uphill travel on Vail Mountain can be answered via the call line at (970) 754-3049.
Failing to adhere to these policies will result in removal from the venue. If scenarios arise where the individual is not following the above stated policy, a reminder will first be issued.
If an individual is uncooperative after the initial reminder, a call will be made to SSCV management for assistance. If policy violations persist, SSCV management and Vail Mountain Ski Patrol may be forced to revoke access to the venue.
Any questions regarding the policy can be directed to Chief Operating Officer Bryan Rooney at brooney@skiclubvail.org. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
