The Olympics as well as the Beaver Creek/Vail 2015 FIS Alpine World Championships help drive excitement in our club and for our various sports.  The Vail Valley Foundation is coordinating a 2015 Alpine World Championship One Year Countdown Celebration on Saturday, February 1 which SSCV is very excited to be participating in through an SSCV Try the Club Day, an SSCV Full-Time Athlete Admissions Open House and an exciting celebration of SSCV current athletes and alumni who have earned a spot at the Sochi Olympics.  SSCV’s participation in the February 1 One Year Countdown Celebration is also our celebration of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) National Club Day.

To further celebrate USSA National Club Day, SSCV is creating an Olympic torch to represent the spirit of our club as well as participating in a coast-to-coast snowsport parade with clubs across the country via a “virtual parade” video involving SSCV athletes representing each of our snowsports.

The February 1 events will provide the opportunity to get together as a club, celebrate our mission and gain exposure with prospective families and supporters. We also want to thank our current athletes, families, members, the resort and community for their continued commitment and efforts.

Sincerely,

Aldo
