On Sunday Golden Peak’s park played host to a United States of America Snowboard and Freeski Association Rocky Mountain Series skier slopestyle competition. Ski & Snowboard Club Vail freeski athletes had their chance to compete on home turf at Sunday’s competition.
Established in 1988, the USASA Rocky Mountain Series is the largest and longest running amateur snowboard and freeskier series in the United States. USASA grass roots competitions held across the country serve as the stepping stone for many young athletes to move on to compete in higher levels of competition including Rev Tours, Dew Tours, USSA competitions and even the Olympics and X-Games.
USASA events include male and female age class divisions as well as open age class divisions for the most competitive of athletes wishing to compete against fellow competitors of all ages. Sunday’s results by age class and open class for the top 3 spots as well as all SSCV athletes can be found below.
