As the season moves forward, Ski & Snowboard Club Vail’s
Freestyle Team builds momentum, and today’s results are an
indication of how these athletes are improving.
In Saturday’s mogul competition on Vail’s Cookshack mogul
run, SSCV placed 4 skiers into the top ten for the women.
Kristi Waring placed 2nd overall, Erin Coyne took first for the
J3 women and fifth overall, Karissa Tuthill placed seventh, and
Brookie Wallace finished second for the J3 women, and tenth
overall.

“The highlights of the day for the women were Waring taking

first for the J1s, second overall, as well as Coyne and Wallace

breaking into the top ten and going one-two for the J3 girls,”

said coach Mike Friedberg.

For the SSCV men, Jack Harty grabbed first for the J3s, and

ninth overall, while Hunter Bailey placed second for the J3

group.

“Jack Harty breaking into the top ten while winning the J3 age

group is a first for him,” Friedberg said. “Having the top two J3s

is awesome, and having Bailey and Harty push each other will

bring their level up in the coming weeks.”

The Vail Valley Freestyle competition continues today with the

Dual Moguls for the men and women.
