March 19 was the first day of the NorAm Cup Finals hosted by Ski & Snowboard Club Vail at Golden Peak. A women’s giant slalom race took place on Saturday under picture perfect skies. NorAm Cup Finals competitors consist many of the top alpine racers in North America and additional foreign athletes who have qualified to compete. Men’s and women’s slalom racing takes place on Sunday followed by another slalom race on Monday. See podium photos and captions below. Click here for results for today’s women’s giant slalom
