If you look up at Golden Peak this time of year you will see the snow guns pumping out snow day and night whenever mother nature cooperates with cold temperatures.
The “off-season”, what for most is a time to put away the skis and boards, is for competitive snow sports athletes the most important preparation period.

Conceived in Portillo during the 1966 World Alpine Ski Championships by U.S. and French Ski Team Directors Bob Beattie and Honoré Bonnet along with journalist Serge Lang, the World Cup is approaching its 50th anniversary.
As you may know, SSCV runs a nations-leading Continuing Education Program for its staff in October of each year. This year we are excited to include our parents and community at large in our programs. Renowned speaker John O’ Sullivan and Norwegian Head Men’s Coach Christian Mitter will be presenting in the evening on Monday, October 12 at the Vail Mountain School Auditorium!
