Ski & Snowboard Club Vail continued to occupy the top spots on the scoreboard in this second day of age class racing on Vail’s Golden Peak.

A.M. race

J5 girls left the start gate first with SSCV’s Allie Resnick and Samantha Trudeau in a tie for first and Cleo Braun in Third.  The J4 girls had Nellie Rose Talbot, Brianna Trudeau, and Paula Cooper taking first, second, and third, respectively.  The J3 racers saw Abigail Murer in first, Anna Martin second, and Megan McGrew in third with yet another SSCV podium sweep.

SSCV swept the J5 and J4 podiums with Henry Heaydon, Fletcher Holm, and Kellen Kinsella filling the top three spots for the J5s.  For the J4s, Colby Lange took the win with teammates Brendan Keane in second and Gile Bridger in third.  The J3 group had River Radamus walk away with the win and Jack Keane in third.


P.M. Race

The second race for the J5 girls had Cleo Braun, Allie Resnick, and Samantha Trudeau going one, two, and three for SSCV.  Brianna Trudeau took first for the J4 girls with Nellie Rose Talbot in third.  For the J3 girls, Megan McGrew took first, Anna Martin placed second, and Sarah Tyree was third.

The SSCV boys swept all three podiums in Sunday’s afternoon race with Heaydon in first, Holm in second, and Kinsella in third for the J5s, Lange, Keane, and Gile going one, two, and three for the J4 boys, and Radamus, Logan Martin, and Jack Keane taking the top three spots for the J3 boys.

“We had a great weekend and built a lot of confidence for our team with the results from the past two days,” said coach Bruce Hamlin.  “Everyone performed to the best of their ability.”
