On Saturday, January 16, Ski & Snowboard Club Vail hosted a Nordic High School Qualifier at Maloit Park in Minturn.  Despite frigid temperatures, over two hundred athletes from nearby high schools participated in the event, which featured a five kilometer classic race course for high school athletes.  Over one hundred athletes from nearby middle schools also came out that day to compete on a three kilometer classic course.  Pictured left to right above are Maddie Donovan, Annie Blakslee, Lyle Shipp and Bridget Donovan, SSCV full-time Nordic athletes, after a great day of Nordic racing at the Nordic High School Qualifier in Maloit Park.  Top three results and all Ski & Snowboard Club Vail athlete results for the high school and middle school races are available by clicking here.
