Bonsoir!   All is well here in France-land.  Since my last post, we have had a few days of high winds. Yesterday, we couldn’t go up to the glaciers. Instead, we motivated as a group and drove over to Val D’Isere.

Bonsoir!   Things haven’t changed for us here in l’montages. We are still in a comfortable place away from Paris. We are lucky that everything is continuing on with our ski camp without a hitch.

Bonjour Parents,     It was a long two days of travel before we arrived in the mountain village of Tignes, France.  We had a van full of rambunctious boys and a coach driving.

Since its inception, snowboarding has gone from a fringe counterculture sport to an Olympic mainstay as one of the most popular spectator events.

Today is Golden Peak opening day at Ski & Snowboard Club Vail (SSCV).  What better time to share a recap of last season with you through SSCV's 2014-2015 Annual Report* than while kicking off a new season with you! 

It has been an exciting first 10 years for the Ski & Snowboard Club Vail (SSCV) Nordic Team, an expansion of the base and ever increasing success.

If you look up at Golden Peak this time of year you will see the snow guns pumping out snow day and night whenever mother nature cooperates with cold temperatures.

The “off-season”, what for most is a time to put away the skis and boards, is for competitive snow sports athletes the most important preparation period.

As Theodore Roosevelt once said, “No one cares how much you know until they know how much you care.”

At this time of year at Ski & Snowboard Club Vail (SSCV) much is under way “For the Kids” to prepare them for the season and the future.
