Mountain Bike Teams

These programs are designed for beginner to advanced cyclists. There will be numerous opportunities to compete both locally and regionally. Athletes will be coached on proper technique, training and racing principles. Specific training for dedicated cyclists will be developed based on individual goals and utilize TrainingPeaks as our online training platform. Training plans will be issued to those athletes based on cycling-specific training.

Ages: 14-18*

*coach’s discretion for younger athletes

Program Dates: May 6, 2025, to October 19, 2025

  • Summer Team: May 6, 2025, to July 27, 2025
  • Fall Team: August 5, 2025, to October 19, 2025 (High School Race Team)

Training Days: Season dependent, as outlined below. Please also see calendar for more specific training and race information.

May to July

  • 2-4 training sessions per week — Outdoor sessions only!

August to October

  • 2-4 training sessions per week — Outdoor sessions only!

Races:

  • VRD race series
  • NICA Colorado High School Series (travel costs not included)
  • RMC Colorado State Cup race series (travel costs not included)

Cost: $1,110 summer/fall session or $1,950 for both, and **athletes will need to purchase High School Team Race Kit (Jersey)**

Cost includes:

  • Entry into VRD race series
  • Race kit (VJC Club jersey only)
