Nordic U14 Prep Team | Ages 12-13 (must be year of birth 2009-2010)

This program aims to provide coaching and skill sets that will allow participants to excel and be competitive at the next level of the sport. The elite coaches work throughout the season to help athletes develop a love for Nordic skiing, racing, and most importantly, the process.

Rose Horning and Lucy Perkins both qualified for the Scandinavian Cup trips during the 2021-2022 season.  Haley Brewster qualified for World Junior Championships during the 2020-21 season. In the 2021-2022 season, 16 of SSCV’s Nordic athletes qualified for Junior Nationals. Over the last seven years, there have been two Individual Junior Nationals Champs named from our pool of athletes – Nolan Herzog in 2015 and Haley Brewster in 2019. We have also had 25 top five finishes at Junior Champs since 2015, and have additionally qualified seven athletes to Scandinavian Cup trips. In the last 18 years with SSCV,  39 athletes have left the Valley and our program to ski at various colleges.
