Alpine U10 Full-Time Age Class | YOB 2011-2014

This program strives to build passion for skiing by covering a lot of mileage freeskiing on Vail Mountain. This program aims to create a fun, team environment that will encourage learning and skills development, instilling passion for the sport and motivation to compete.

Coaches will follow an age-appropriate skills progression utilizing SSCV’s Technical Statement in concert with a host of additional skill-building progressions while providing a foundation in gate training. The goal is for children to have fun learning to go fast in gates while building the necessary basic fundamentals that will prepare them for a future in ski racing and skiing in general.

The U10 full-time program provides the opportunity for more quality time on snow at an extremely formative period in their physical development which enables a rapid progression in their skill development in a fun, confidence-building environment.  World class coaching and training environments enrich this experience, creating a streamlined pipeline to U12 full-time age class training and competition opportunities as they advance.

Informational meetings will be conducted prior to the first Golden Peak training day for parents to meet staff, learn the training and race calendar, and understand details of their child’s program.

A USSA U10 membership will be required for these athletes to race.  This will allow them to participate in the  U10/U8 RMD race series.
